Gina currently serves as the Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor of English Literature at the University of Connecticut and has received UConn’s highest award for teaching. She is the author of ten books and editor of seventeen; her titles include DON’T TELL MAMA: THE PENGUIN BOOK OF ITALIAN AMERICAN WRITING and the bestselling THEY USED TO CALL ME SHOW WHITE BUT I DRIFTED: WOMEN’S STRATEGIC USE OF HUMOR.
