This year we are very blessed to have Anthony Julian Tamburri, Dean of the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute (Queens College, CUNY), Anthony Julian Tamburri, also holds the title of Distinguished Professor of European Languages and Literatures. He is co-founder and co-director of Bordighera Press, with Fred Gardaphé and Paolo Giordano, now an entity of the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute. Tamburri also served as president of the Italian American Studies Association and of the American Association of Teachers of Italian.

We All Stand on the Shoulders of Giants, will be the keynote topic and this will be our opportunity to take a closer look and learn more about those who have come before us.

Dean Tamburri will give a lively and entertaining review of the history of Italian and Italian Americans who have made an indelible mark on the founding and continuing development of the United States. From their relationship to people such as Thomas Jefferson and to American progress through out our history.  We shall hear how many of our people have broken ground and remain impactful long after they’ve been gone.

As we enter our 33rd Bar Association year we are all grateful, and give thanks for those who Lawyers and Judges who labored before us.
